Mushroom warrior - CDC

My submission for this month's character design challenge, for which the theme is "Mushroom warrior" (march 2021 for those of you reading this in the future).

Video games enthusiasts, hear me out:
I thought a lot about how this character would behave, what would be his moves if he were in a game. This is what I came up with in the context of a game like SSBU for exemple:

- Down special: the mushroom warrior slams his weapon to the ground, creating a mushroomy area around him. The longer you wait to do that, the bigger the area will be and the longer it will stay there. The mushroomy area heals the mushoom warrior as long as he stands in it, but hurts every other character.

- Side special: the mushroom warrior throws the snail shell right in front of him, it acts as a boomerang. (can be used to attack other character while staying in the mushroomy area, for exemple).

-Up special: the mushroom warrior throws a spore right at his feet, creating a giant mushroom which act as a platform/obstacle (to help jumping away from dangerous situation, "trap" other in the mushroomy area etc...)

-Standard special: the slug enters the snail shell, and will leave it when an attack hits an ennemy, to harras him and make him move at half speed for some time.
